Jessica is a kind and empathic Registered Psychologist who considers it a privilege to work with clients to achieve positive mental health outcomes. She has years of experience in hospital and private practice settings working with children, adolescents and adults. Jessica holds a Masters of Professional Psychology (Macquarie University) and a Bachelor of Arts – Psychology (Sydney University) where her areas of interest were parenting, mindfulness and attachment theory. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
With a warm and collaborative therapeutic approach, Jessica integrates a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Play Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. She enjoys working across a broad range of areas including anxiety and mood-related issues, phobias, adjustment difficulties, obsessive-compulsive disorders, behavioural issues, bereavement and loss, and eating disorders. Jessica has a particular interest in treating performance anxiety whether it’s pertaining to academic examinations, sporting endeavours, or musical performances. She thoroughly enjoys working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, and adopts a neurodiversity-affirming approach in therapy. Jessica is a certified facilitator of the No Scaredy Cats program, a child development program designed for parents whose children experience anxiety.
Jessica has a person-centred therapeutic approach and develops a collaborative relationship with her clients, tailoring treatment to suit their unique needs and therapeutic goals. Jessica believes that addressing an individual client’s current challenges while also building on their strengths is the way forward to achieving personal growth and development.
